Contract Position:
Security Architect:
Job Responsibilities: Directly responsible for the design of high performance, globally delivered SOA based software solutions currently implemented and operating in a commercial environment, build Architectures, Designs, develops, maintains and enhances a global, multi-tiered business application. Individuals holding this position will be asked to work independently, or lead others on a project team, as assigned. Incumbents will be asked to leverage their skills in developing the application’s integration points with a diverse set of existing systems; quality, functionality and performance will be in high demand. The applicant must have a thorough understanding of the available technology, tools and existing designs.
Experience
- 8+ years of in-depth experience in object oriented business application design and development
- 4+ years solid .NET development using C#
- 4+ years using Agile (SCRUM) and UML
- 2 to 3 years of SOA analysis and development
- Expertise in designing Security Architecture for Web Based Application & Services (SOA) - WIF, ADFS, WCF, Cloud Security, PII
- SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
- Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Object Oriented Programming
- Experience delivering at least two SOA Enterprise-level projects including at least one involving legacy systems.
- Experience using design patterns
- Experience with SOA implementations to address distributed service transaction requirements with support for industry standards
- Clear understanding of Web services approach including Web service protocols such as SOAP and REST.
- Familiarity with open source technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to research problems and provide solutions
- Familiarity with the entire software engineering life cycle covering Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Release, and Maintenance
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented programming theory and techniques
- Proven ability to rapidly deliver prototypes and proof-of-concept work to validate a proposed architectural approach
- Ability to separate and work comfortably at multiple levels of abstraction within an architecture
- Extensive expertise in enterprise architectural components and interfaces and their applications. This includes, but is not limited to, relational database systems (including advanced features such as replication, OLAP and data warehousing) from a variety of vendors, middleware technologies such as J2EE application servers or Microsoft.NET, messaging technologies such as MQSeries and JMS, application integration protocols (SOAP, WSDL) and tools such as TIBCO or Vitria, and multiple client technologies including HTML, DHTML, XML and interactive GUIs.
- Experience with web-based applications
- ADO.NET, XML, COM, solid object oriented design and programming, and UML
- ASP.Net 2.0, ASP.Net 3.5 SQL Server 2005
- Strong front end development skills (Javascript, jQuery, Ajax, CSS)
- Web Services, XML, SOAP
- Strong understanding of Asp.Net MVC Framework and Subversion Experience working with Third Party API's
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high traffic environment
- Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
- Provide guidance/mentoring to junior members of the team.

Education
- Bachelor degree / Engineering, preferably in Computer Science or Information technology (or commensurate work experience)
